When you walk through the doors of an Open Bionics clinic, you’re not just entering a space that fits bionic arms — you’re stepping into a community focused on care, empowerment, and technology that supports you to reach your peak.
Our clinics offer expert care, compassionate support, and advanced solutions for those seeking a prosthetic arm fitting.
Whether you’re exploring your first prosthesis or looking for an upgrade, here’s what to expect at an Open Bionics clinic.
A Warm Welcome and a Personalized Consultation
Every appointment starts with a conversation. We want to hear your story — your daily needs, your lifestyle, and what you’re hoping from a bionic arm. Whether you’re a parent, student, athlete, gamer, or simply curious, we tailor your experience from the very first hello. Let’s chat.
Our clinicians are here to listen, not sell. You’ll never be rushed. This is your time to ask questions, explore options, and get hands-on without devices — no strings attached.
Expert Muscle Site Assessment
Your prosthetic arm fitting journey begins with a muscle site assessment using our MyoPod sensors and one of our Hero RGD or Hero PRO hands. This is often a wow moment — the first time you see fingers move in response to your own muscle signals.
Even if you’ve never used a prosthetic before, don’t worry. Our prosthetists are trained to work with all limb difference presentations — congenital or acquired — and will guide you through the process.

Precision Scanning and Custom Liners
If you’re ready to move forward, we’ll take a 3D scan from a traditional cast of your limb to create a custom check socket liner to test the initial fit and get your initial feedback on comfort.
This liner is the foundation of your experience, and we take great care to get it right — your comfort and confidence matter to us that’s why we operate on a perfect fit promise.
Custom Fitting Process Paired with Functional Training
When your device is ready, you’ll come in for a final fitting and functional training. You’ll learn how to activate different grips, how to care for your device, and how to integrate it into your daily routines.
We’ll coach you through everything — from zipping jackets to chopping veggies. You’ll leave with more than a prosthetic; you’ll leave with confidence to show off, confidence to level up your bionic skills, confidence that you have a team of experts who will have your back through the large and small milestones.
Ongoing Support — You’re Part of the Family
We don’t disappear after your fitting. Every Open Bionics clinic offers ongoing check-ins, adjustments, repairs, and community support. Got a question or a grip that’s not working quite right? We’re here.
Our goal is not just to give you a bionic arm — it’s to help you love using it.
